Training is Good

My training is going very good. I can see vast improvements in my running and swimming. I haven't been able to really test out my biking but I feel very fit on the bike and have been increasing the length of my inddor workouts. I have recently started training with my Grand Valley State Triathlon team. We've got a great group of about 8 people (good athletes) and are having some good training sessions. It is nice to start training with a group again. It adds some excitement to my training regimine.

I have been very motivated lately to put my running miles, swimming yards and biking hours in. Im not exactly sure where this motivation is coming from but I am happy to have it, especially during this cold, snowy, mudane weather. It sounds a bit depressing but the weather during the winter months in west michigan are very sub-optimal. I find that for running, getting outside is half the battle. after the first 2-5 minutes of excercise I don't even think about the weather.

Well I'm off to put in 2 hours on the trainer. I'm happy to be feeling good, strong and motivated!

We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.
